Overview
Next Consultancy is a study abroad advisory based in the UK. We are looking to hire Student Counsellors to play a crucial role in assisting students and prospective candidates in their journey to study overseas.
Your primary responsibility will be to guide and support applicants through the admissions process, ensuring that they meet the necessary requirements and criteria to secure enrollment in their desired international educational institutions. You will act as a liaison between the firm, educational institutions, and students, providing accurate information, addressing inquiries, and coordinating various aspects of the application process.
Along with your basic pay, you will receive attractive commissions.
Responsibilities:
- Applicant Guidance: Offer personalised guidance to prospective students about study abroad programs, courses, universities, and application procedures. Understand their academic and career goals to suggest suitable options.
- Admission Requirements: Familiarise yourself with the admission requirements of different universities and courses. Advise candidates on how to meet these requirements and maximise their chances of acceptance.
- Application Management: Assist students with the application process, including reviewing and verifying documents, transcripts, recommendation letters, essays, and other necessary paperwork. Ensure that all applications are submitted accurately and within deadlines.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure that all applicants meet the necessary legal and visa requirements to study abroad. Coordinate with relevant authorities to process necessary documentation and permits.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with educational institutions, keeping up-to-date with their admission policies, and fostering a positive rapport with admission officers.
- Follow-up and Communication: Keep applicants informed about the status of their applications, including acceptance or rejection letters, and provide guidance on next steps accordingly.
- Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and participate in events and fairs to attract potential students.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on the latest trends in the study abroad industry, including changes in visa regulations, scholarship opportunities, and education policies.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate records and databases of applicants and their application statuses for internal tracking and reporting purposes.
- Problem Resolution: Address any issues or challenges faced by applicants during the admission process and provide effective solutions.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is typically preferred, and experience in education, marketing or communication.
- Customer Service: Strong customer service orientation, with a focus on empathy, responsiveness, and a commitment to helping students achieve their study abroad goals.
